"Hi, I just downloaded a trial of Zwrap and installed it on my 4R8. It initially seems to start ok and appears in the processes, but in a few seconds the window and process disappear and it stays hanging on “Zwrap is running. Please wait for process completion”.
However I don’t see the plugin window open … and it stays like that until I press esc. Any ideas why that might be?
I’ve 2 meshes in the scene a low res plane and a hires head.
Here is my set up if the info in neccesary: Zbrush 4R8 Windows 10 64-bit Processor Intel core i7-7700 4.20GHz RAM 16GB Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB"
P.S. it seems like it should be running but the window is nowhere to be found.
P.S. P.S. I just tried it on 2018 as well on the same setup and it behaves the same way.
P.S. P.S. P.S. I stopped my antivirus (AVG) and windows firewall - no change at all.
The plug-in starts and immediately stops ( the process disappears).
Thank you for reporting the issue.
If ZWrap crashes on startup without showing any plugin window (and only Windows popup message occur), that issue has been fixed.
I have just sent you an email with a download link to the latest ZWrap version.
Hi, I have the exact same issue and similar specs if that’s relevant. Zwrap opens in a separate window, which i only find by looking for it manually. This window remains in black screen for about 30 seconds until it closes itself. Then Zbrush is left stuck in “Zwrap is running. Please wait for process completion”. Please let me know if you’ve found a solution!
The described issue for plugin has been fixed.
But if you are getting crashes for Wrap3 too, then it’s another kind of problem.
Does Wrap3 crash only when you attempt to import mesh?
I’m running on latest version of ZWrap and ZBrush 2020.
As soon as I start the plugin in ZBrush I get “Zwrap is running. Please wait for process completion.” and it never starts past the loading window.
EDIT: I seem to have figured out why it doesn’t work. The strange thing is, it does work, but it takes forever to load because my mesh is at around 55 million polygons. I tried with the same mesh at about 60k polygons and ZWrap opened at last!
