Set Points

My Problem is to set the points right and left correctly . I had never such a Problem in WrapX
That mean I can not set the same numbers . Sometimes missed numbers or count continue on the wrong side
I hope you understand me , english is not my language
How can I set and get the same number right and left ?

If the model is too small in scale, it may lead to lost of precision artifacts during point selection i.e. it can select points behind the polygon you are actually clicking. You can upscale the model and save it, then load upscaled model again and use it during point selection. Please let me know if it solves you problem.

Yes  Thank you !

I’ve noticed that the same can occur even if the model is in proper scale. We will fix this bug in the nearest update.

Hello Andrew,

When might this update become available? I’m having issues with points not corresponding to the selected points during the wrap process and flipping the mesh which has blocked us as we need to match marker data 1 for 1 between meshes.

Kind Regards,

Dan

Hello Dan!

We are planning to make first Wrap3 update with new algorithms and fixes (including this) within two (maybe three) weeks. Since you are blocked with this bug, I can send you special version of Wrap3 only with this fix as soon as it will be available.

Ivan

Ivan,

That would be a real asset to us. I appreciate your dedication.
Here’s my personal email when it becomes available. whitton.dan@gmail.com

Best,

Dan

Hello Ivan,

Do you think a patch would be available this week?

Thank you,

Dan

It will be definitely available in the middle of next week, however it is not clear that it will done during this.

Hello,

Checking in to see if there is an update to this bug?

Best,

Dan

Hello Dan,

We have fixed the major source of problem in Wrap 3.1.0. It does not select through polygons anymore.

Please also make sure that your model is in centimiter scale. If it’s too small it’s recommened to upscale it using Scale parameter of LoadGeom node and save it. Then load it again.

There is still another bug. Sometimes (rarely) if you try to drag an existing point, it takes a random point instead. It is to be fixed in next release in November.

Please let me know if you have already tried Wrap 3.1.0 and still can reproduce the error.

My Problem … window Editor(E) for point correspondences it crashes… (Other windows this program - work … OK)
My sistem:
WIN7_64, CPU Intel Core™2Quad, Nvidia GeForce 8800GT

I tested version 3.1.0. When I tried to open the “point correspondences” editor window, the program crashed. On another computer (a newer one), it worked. Maybe something was missing in the system or the hardware was faulty? This didn’t happen with WrapX on the same computer—everything worked there.

Hello, the problem is definitely in Wrap and it is related to graphics card or graphics driver. The bug is registered under number #21. I’ll let you know when we fix it. Thank you and sorry again!

I tested version 3.3.11. On one computer (not too old), the program crashes when trying to load a mesh. On another (newer), it seems to work… I understand that older hardware will no longer be supported at all…

Wrap 3.3.11 should be able to run on any machine, the only limitation is **OpenGL **version which should be not less that 2.1. In most cases updating the graphics driver should fix the issue.

The NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT drivers are the latest (last year’s, November 14, 2016).
OpenGL - from 1.1 to 3.3 (4.0 and higher are not supported) - should be fine in theory…
The CPU is a 4-core Intel - Quad Q9300…
But… The result is the same… It crashes when loading a mesh… And version 3.3.12 - too… No luck…
In version 3.2.0, the game only crashed when the point setting window was enabled.

Thanks for the detailed information! We can’t reproduce the crash on our computers. We’ll try to find something similar to the 8800 GT to figure out what’s going on.
