Quick Question: Wrapping works great and the base mesh result looks beautiful. Every time I create a save geo node, choose the path and click compute current frame it crashes. It’s doesn’ seem to matter if include normals or transforms is on or off. An incomplete .OBJ file is written to the path. Any solution?
Can you please do a quick test for me? Just create two nodes: LoadGeom and SaveGeom. LoadGeom should load a standard head basemesh from the gallery. Just connect the nodes and click Compute current frame. Will it crash then?
If no, please try the same with your basemesh. That would help a lot to understand the problem!
Yeah, the hand base mesh exports just fine. No issues. So it must be the base mesh I’m using. It’s clean and error free and computes just fine. Maybe the poly count is too high? I ran it through a subdivision node before wrapping.
That’s strange. Wrap can save scans with millions of polygons with no problems. It’s the Wrapping node that is limited to number of polygons of a basemesh. I will check it anyway, thank you for pointing to this problem!
