Welcome to the Faceform Forum!
This is a place to connect, share experiences, and help each other — for users of our 3D software and facial motion capture hardware.
There are no strict formal rules here — just guidelines that help us all maintain a friendly atmosphere. Please take a moment to read them.
This Forum Is About Faceform
Remember that this forum is dedicated to our products and 3D graphics in general. We love it when you share workflows, artwork, mini-tutorials, presets, and other useful things. Please stay on topic — for everything else, there’s the rest of the internet.
The official language of the forum is English. Posts in other languages are allowed, but if we’re unable to verify their content, we may remove them.
Be Polite — Even When You Disagree
Nothing kills a good discussion faster than rudeness.
-
Be polite. Don’t post anything a reasonable person would consider offensive or hateful.
-
Respect each other. Don’t harass or intimidate others, don’t impersonate other people, and don’t disclose anyone’s personal information.
-
Don’t discriminate — based on race, nationality, gender, orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic.
-
Keep discussions on topic. There are plenty of places on the internet for politics, religion, and heated social debates — this forum isn’t one of them. Campaigning and political symbols are not allowed.
-
Respect the forum. Don’t spam and don’t break things that work.
If you disagree with someone’s opinion, criticize the idea, not the person. Avoid personal attacks, emotionally charged responses, and pointless arguments for the sake of arguing. Make your case with reasoning instead. If someone doesn’t like another person’s work, explain what could be improved rather than just saying “it’s bad.”
Keep Discussions Organized
Let’s spend our time on discussions, not cleanup.
-
Don’t create a topic in the wrong section.
-
Don’t post the same thing across multiple threads.
-
Don’t derail discussions off topic.
-
Don’t post empty replies. Instead of “+1” or “Agreed,” use the Like button.
-
Before starting a new topic, check the search — your question may have already been discussed.
-
Give your topics clear, descriptive titles.
We don’t require perfect formatting, but we may edit your post for readability — fixing markup, removing clutter, or breaking up walls of text.
Only Post What’s Yours
-
Don’t pass off other people’s work as your own. Don’t upload other people’s files (models, textures, scripts) without the author’s permission. If your work was inspired by someone else’s, say so and link to the original.
-
Sharing links to other people’s tutorials, articles, and portfolios for discussion or learning purposes is welcome.
-
If you’re sharing files, make sure the license allows it and credit the author.
-
Pirated content — serial numbers, cracks, unlicensed distributions, or links to any of these — is prohibited.
-
If you post AI-generated content, please label it as such, especially if it could mislead other users or create the impression that it’s your own work.
Advertising and Self-Promotion
This is not a commercial platform.
-
Advertising products, services, or third-party offerings without our approval is prohibited. Affiliate and referral links are also not allowed.
-
Mentioning third-party tools in the context of your workflow is fine, as long as it doesn’t come across as promotional.
-
You’re welcome to share your own work in the Showcases & Critiques section — for feedback, process discussion, or simply to show off the result. Links to your own tutorials are allowed if they’re relevant to the discussion and help answer another user’s question. We appreciate work created with our software and may feature the best pieces on the official Faceform website.
-
However, systematically promoting your channels, courses, or services without tying them to a discussion is advertising.
Content We Remove Immediately
Posting any of the following results in an immediate ban without warning:
-
Pornography, sexual or excessively violent content, including any material involving minors.
-
Malicious links, phishing, viruses.
-
Content promoting violence, drugs, terrorism, or other illegal activity.
-
Pirated software, malicious code, and links to any of these.
Remember that you are responsible not only for your own posts but also for the content behind the links you share. Verify your sources before sharing them with others.
See a Problem? Report It
Moderators keep an eye on things, but you can help too. If you see a violation, don’t respond to it. That only fuels the conflict, drains your energy, and wastes everyone else’s time. Just hit the Flag button — if enough reports come in, we’ll take action.
False and malicious reports are themselves a violation of the rules.
We ask users to resolve disputes among themselves. We can help, but we’re not obligated to act as arbitrators.
What Happens If You Break the Rules
We handle each case individually. Depending on the situation, we may:
-
Warn you — reach out privately and explain what went wrong.
-
Edit or remove the post.
-
Mute you — you’ll be able to read the forum but won’t be able to post.
-
Temporarily ban you — for a period of 1 to 30 days.
-
Permanently ban you — for severe or repeated violations.
Creating new accounts to circumvent a ban is prohibited. If we discover such an account, it will be banned without warning.
